Melini is a multi-award winning Writer, Trainer and News Editor who is passionate about empowering people through sound knowledge and practice.

She is a Journalism and Psychology graduate of Rhodes University, and has more than 23 years of experience in Community, Commercial and Public broadcasting.

Melini is skilled in Training, Media Relations, TV and Radio News Production, Social Media and Communications. She is involved in various social upliftment initiatives and training programmes within local communities.
​
As a World Press Institute and Dag Hammarskjold Fellow, she has travelled to media outlets across the globe interacting with leaders in the industry, and reporting on social issues affecting humanity. She has also been recognised as one of the Mail and Guardian's Top 200 Young South Africans on their journey to positively impact the world, through future-focused innovation and passion.
